I don’t understand the rich vs poor argument in all of this.
Investing is more accessible to the average person than at any point in human history. If stocks go up for the rich, they also go up for those of more modest means.
Compound interest is the best way for someone with a modest income to retire a millionaire. Outside of some kind of windfall, it’s probably the only way.
Stop worrying about what is fair, it’s a great tool for everyone, if used appropriately.
