Lucasfilm made the movie, but Paramount had the distribution rights. That's the very first thing in the movie: the Paramount logo fading out into a real-world mountain.

Disney made the latest Indy move on its own, so it licensed the rights for Disney+. That licensing agreement is over, so now Paramount gets it back.
