Wondering if this is a fake story. I saw it on the news wires this morning. a) why didn't the subscriber get zillions of SMS warning them they were running up a roaming bill? and b) why did the CSR flatly assert that $100K+ bill is totally legit. Neither seems plausible.

You probably haven't spent much time calling organizations these days. They're told to click this and that and report.

There's no reason why 100% of the population answering phones couldn't be replaced with GPT at this point.
