It’s a point to point vpn that works between devices even without a direct network connection.

Their personal free plan is more than enough.

I am apparently dumb. What benefit does this give you, other than a segregated network? Do us hotels typically have exposed Ethernet ports?

I always travel with my GL.iNet GL-MT3000 (Beryl AX) and this is what I use it for:

- My wife and I travel with multiple devices (laptops, phones, Chromecast...) and when we get to a hotel/Airbnb, I simply connect my Beryl AX to their network (it deals with captive portals btw) and all of our devices automatically connect.

- I changed the `/etc/hosts` directly in the router, meaning I can test my local servers under custom domains easily on my other devices like phones/tablets without apps like SquidMan.

- I route specific domains through specific VPNs. Government websites, streaming websites, AWS services, etc.

- I can plug in a 4G USB modem into it and it can automatically fallback to it if the main connection drops.

- It has built-in Tailscale support.

I am going to disagree with patio11 here. If someone asks you to pay with gift cards, its a scam.

Gift cards are the equivalent of buying dollars at 105 cents, but its not a scam, since everybody is upfront about the transaction.

That is not enough.

We need to make every EU law contiguent on subsequently being adopted by the people - and at a significant majority (say 75% of eligible voters).

Yes that means fewer new laws, which is not a bad thing when the EU people are so detached from their population.

Years ago I was part of a cross-disciplinary group doing game development.

After our standup in the morning, the graphics artists would have made tons of drawings on the paper table cloth. If they had access to a pen and paper, they would be drawing.

For me AI is really powerful autocomplete. Like you said, I wrote the abstraction years ago. Writing the abstraction again now is not required.

A time and place may come where the AI are so powerful I’m not needed. That time is not right now.

I have used Rider for years at this point and it automatically handles most imports. It’s not AI, but its one of the things that is just not needed for me to even think about.

With AoC I think that its fine to pick a language that is not at all suited for the challenge. That can be half the fun.

I saw someone one Twitter use Excel.

May I suggest just requiring people to register what how much they want to gamble and then be locked into that. If you want to gamble for 100 usd per month, then you can't bet more than that. You should be able to set your own amount, but any changes should only be active from the next month.

This has minimum impact on personal liberty, and will almost eliminate problem gambling.

Problem gamblers will find ways around this regulation. It’ll reduce by adding friction but problem gambling existed before gambling was legalized.

Perhaps the important question to study is whether that scheme would prevent people from crossing into the "problem" category when they aren't already.

It's one thing to put a slightly higher number and the number box each time, it's another to do identity theft or coaxing your spouse into letting you play as them.

No Windows 11 anyway, since it can't run on my massive workstation class laptop...

At least I have since migrated to Mac, so I guess it can just stay win10 forever.

(not op)

I have had no luck with LLMs writing typst code. Normally its a better code writer than me, but the LLM (gpt4-o maybe?) hallucinated most of the document.
