I think I was 11 or 12 when I first installed Win95, once I got some help, it was like a whole new world. Multimedia was finally a real possibility. Seeing Weezer in their "Buddy Holly" music video on the disc was pretty wild, and the "Start Me Up" spoof song about win95 "this windows ninety fiiiiiive, it's suckin' up my driiiive". Good times.

I loved doing this on my Dreamcast back in '99. It was the first console I ever managed to "mod" -- even though it's completely a software mod.

At first we had to download loader discs, just a few hundred Kb on a disc, then pop in the 1:1 burned game. Eventually they managed to put the loader on the game ISOs and you could just burn a game and pop it in. Plenty of fun, lots of great games and it primed me to eventually crack open my Xbox for the 007 Nightfire exploit.

Yeah, the day I bought the game, along with my best friend and PC gaming buddy, after playing for hours, we stayed up really late as I read the manual aloud. Ahh memories.

What a fantastic bunch of games those were, right? We eventually had such a blast playing Descent: Freespace at LAN's.. great game.. anyway.. the Descent devs are at it again!

It MAY not be that easy... femtocells and whatnot may make that a difficult task. I wondered this myself, since nearly all pirate radio stations are caught.. but cell sites don't work the same way. Just a thought.

Seriously, I'm really surprised at some of the comments here. Some hackers have always been suits though, so I shouldn't be surprised.

Definitely shouldn't be surprised, and it's not just the suits.

It seems that the election of Trump, in particular, has turned half of the infosec community into rabid fans of the CIA/FBI/NSA. It's really quite sickening.

One of my personal favorite public conversions has been the grugq. In 3-4 years he's gone from selling bugs (worldwide), and supporting hackers (worldwide), to a rabid Russiaphobe who uncritically accepts whatever unsubstantiated claims GCHQ and NSA make, and refuses to sell bugs to anyone but FVEY.

Summer camp probably won't be very much fun this year.

Also of interest, next year much of the USA House of Reps will be CIA agents. Either you're a fan of the intelligence apparatus, or it's coming for your House seat:

This seems good for democracy!

Selling vulnerabilities is a shitty thing to do. Selling to American spies instead of Russian mobsters doesn't make it any worse.

Chelsea is Bradley, she's trans.

here's a documentary featuring Adrian prominently. This is the best you'll see Adrian, because some time after this film he went on (or off?) his meds, betrayed Chelsea Manning and various other things shitty humans do.

Hackers Wanted.

Taking medicine and not taking medicine are both things shitty humans do, as is refusing to join a criminal conspiracy?

Despite all the negativity, as a filthy degenerate, I missed the previous ability to get a Paypal debit card and instantly withdrawal money sent to my PP acct with it. This should be useful..

Nice, I grew up in Sonoma county, definitely looks like home. More so the area to the right that's almost cropped out, but still.. nice to know that winxp's iconic background is of home. Wish I knew that back in '01 when it was the talk of the town.
