I'm getting tired of websites that force you to use desktop or phone. I'll use whatever device I want. Let me deal with the screen size issue.

Selling painkillers in 16 pill packets is a problem? It's readily available and very cheap (paracetamol and ibuprofen) generic brands. Never in my life this has been an issue

You pay by paying the premium. Your employer pays, but that money comes from your potential salary.

Can someone write about how terrible the YouTube Android app is, so that some PM can actually fix it? Its an app i use constantly and hate using it all the time. I accidently click to another video and lose the position of where i was. It used to confirm the play of another video, but now it doesn't. The offline feature is terrible; you can't play something and make it go offline. It used to cast really well, with a "casting queue". When i disconnect from my TV, its still logged in. Adding/removing/changing the watch queue is so bad that I have to use my laptop to make changes. When browsing, you can't tell whether a video is already on your watch list; it's not always accurate. Sometimes you click add, and it removes it from the watch list because it's also in the list. Many more things.. can't think of them right now.

Yes absolutely. People forget one of the reasons to use ruby is the beauty of the code. Any typed language is verbose and ugly. I understand other languages are more safe, I'm happy to code unsafe for developer joy.

Calculators make you dumber!

This kind of thinking is result of lack of imagination. People always say there's too many people. People always figure out how to better grow food, build homes and live.

You fire and forget. Order something for lunch, get back to work. Eventually ring at the door with food.

Food that comes to your door when you have already starved to death or binge eaten bags of crisps or bread while waiting for it, is visually unappealling thanks to have been stored in carboard boxes and been transported carelessly, is missing the actual sauce you specifically asked for and more often than not barely warm anymore.

That is the problem. After some failed attempts, I just make sure I always have stuff to pick and eat at home and if I am not feeling it, I just walk to a food place next door as it won't be worse than what is deliverable AND will be ready when I am actually hungry.

Not everyone can create new things, or create new things all the time. The rest of the time they can make better use of existing things

That too, but my disagreement is more fundamental: even if you can create good new things, there are probably[0] better things to do with your resources than creating them.

[0] This is a small escape hatch for "what if one can only create new things" or "actual cure for cancer".

Yes absolutely, you can do both.

One good thing about new ideas is that it becomes an enabler for everyone else who are not working on new ideas. Similar to how technology democratises peoples abilities.

Was big fan of Gentoo. Would spend hours and hours optimizing the compile flags to maximise performance. Fun times.
