The downsides are there, of course, and you have already been provided theoretical risks by other users. Unfortunately the discussion only ever centers around the downsides, with fear mongering aplenty, rather than treating the situation the same as any other situation in life: a risk-benefit trade off.

The problem with this approach is it is very hard to do data science with messy clinical data when you have no mechanism of investigating the data yourself.

I guess the equivalent terms for Google Meet are much more privacy friendly:

> Control over your data

> ...

> Google does not store video, audio, or chat data unless a meeting participant initiates a recording during the Meet session.

Though, I suppose this isn't exactly the same as a TOS.

Out of curiosity based on recent discussions and debates about AI and copyright, would it be considered storing if AI processes the information first and then stores the derivative works?

Like some sort of real time training, then throwing away the inout?

Maybe? I don't know what is actually feasible at scale in this theoretical scenario. If these things were being performed at the behest of the intelligence community then costs could be offset by generic named grants.

This is not true. The study found a reduction in COVID-19 symptoms for the cloth mask group. They also found a reduction in seroprevalence for the cloth mask group, but that reduction wasn't statistically significant. "Statistically insignificant" is not the same as "not true". It is very hard to sufficiently power a seroprevalence study.

This is a high-power study with N in the hundreds of thousands.

"Statistically insignificant" is the same as "no reason to believe it is true".

> One reason Canada has fallen far behind its neighbor to the south is that it ordered lots of doses from European factories that have struggled to meet production quotas.

Canada were forced to work with Europe as Americans won't export any vaccines. I know dozens of 20-30 year olds vaccinated in America, while the largest hospitals in Canada haven't vaccinated even a fraction of their staff. Luckily for America, Canadians are too busy blaming each other for it to really damage the international relationship.

Mostly blaming past Prime Ministers Brian Mulroney (Progressive Conservative) and Stephen Harper (Conservative) for destroying their capacity to produce vaccines.

Some arrhythmias are trivial with a single lead because they manifest in the rate at which the heart beats. And from there, you can imagine there are a spectrum of arrythmias which become more morphological and likely harder to detect.
