Shame, Amyl and the Sniffers would've put on a hell of a show ;)

I agree though, Melbourne is absolutely bursting at the seam with events, groups and activities in almost anything you could possibly be interested in. It's particularly noticeable for me coming from Sydney. I saw someone in a local FB group suggest holding a whip-cracking jam meetup in a park and it generated significant interest.

Hah! I had a very similar thought enter mind recently. I used to get shamed for being on screens too much, now the situation seems to have flipped. Who's the nerd now??

Also just an aside - I love your writing style.

This is my site: https://michaelbarlow.com.au/

Haven't updated it in ages but I've got a couple ideas in my head, so that might change soon.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but did you patch it to the latest version? I don't know if the in-game updater still works but from memory you could download some sort of patch exe file and update it that way.

My Dad managed to install Q4OS on his own and has been pretty happy with it, hasn't asked me for help even once.

My Dad managed to install linux (Q4OS) on his computer in a dual-boot setup, having never even touched Linux before. He hasn't asked me for help once, whereas historically I've been his tech support when he was running Windows. He's loving the linux experience.

I believe if my Dad is able to install, use and benefit from Linux, anyone can.

On the other hand I recently did another dual boot system and despite having done it 100 times I accidentally destroyed the windows install by assuming it was efi when it wasn’t and overwriting the windows boot record which was at the end of the hard drive when making space for Linux, and it became permanently unbootable and ultimately had to be reinstalled. If an experienced user can make a terrible mistake so easily during the standard setup wizard that did it with a smile, than anyone can.

Anyone else seeing the blog post briefly before flicking to a 404 page? Safari on iOS 15 here.

That's probably what I miss the most in web-pages and software generally - information density.

It's perfectly reasonable for a Swede to invest in miltech, given current political climate. In fact, it would be irresponsible not to.

My Dad, who's well into his 60s, managed to install linux himself on his computer. His kept the windows partition in a dual boot setup just in case, but spends just about all the time in Linux, he loves it.
