No, I have used a few accountants in the past when I was a nomad but never found someone I'd recommend. I'd love to hear from any others here if they have someone they'd recommend, since I could use a new one myself.
Washington is a great place to be! If you start a digital nomad trip from there, your state taxes will be as simple as possible.
Regarding being dual-taxed, the US has dual taxation treaties with almost every country, so you can deduct the taxes you pay to another country from your US taxes. e.g. If you move to France, you'll pay taxes there, and when you file in the US you'll get credit for those taxes paid. There are numerous other complications for federal taxes as well! But you probably won't flat-out pay double.
I'm not sure I am convinced that Saverin should have renounced, I think that decision may end up a modern example of Solon's advice to Croesus, but maybe that is just my western liberal prejudice against Singapore coming through.
What is there to be prejudiced against for Singapore? It is a singularly good place to live by basically every metric an actual human being could care about. Low crime, clean, high resident satisfaction, good schools, etc.
hmm, well there we can see I was wrong, I just went to look at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democracy_Index I was sure Singapore was registered as a Hybrid regime but I can see it is listed as a flawed democracy, if that's correct and I guess I'll assume it is as I'm not planning to move there anyway then there isn't a reason to hold anything against them, given that very few countries are better than flawed Democracy.

I wrote a rails web app running on heroku. For the game server binaries, I spun up a server in a data center and control it using bash scripts that run in background jobs on heroku. I wrote jobs to do various tasks, like update config file, restart server, create initial server.
